So my car was just hit by some sort of scooter thing

Everyday I go to pick up my brother from his middle school. It's a carpool lane, so I get there early to get a good spot and go home sooner. Others will park in the parking lot, no big deal since the line will go out in the main road. But this means that the kids have to cross in front of the cars, and very few use the crosswalk.

School releases and I'm just waiting for my brother, when a kid with a broken leg on some sort of scooter comes rolling up and stops by my car. It was pretty clear he was looking for someone out in the parking lot. Then he gets on one leg, hops off the curb and I hear a "clunk." He hit my car with the handle. I wasn't about to get out and confront him because no one would take that the right way and there may not have been any damage. I was so scared there was a good dent on the side though. It was a long drive home. To keep it short, I got home and thankfully there was nothing.

Watch out for those scooters!

On the plus side 25 bucks filled my car, and it takes premium only.

I'm glad gas came down, I can drive the fun car now and not worry about it, 22-25 dollars to fill her up.

Your 4V will tolerate 87 just fine.

how is a Mach 1 as a DD? Cause I am still looking at them. How is the DOHC to a Coyote?

Compared to your 5.0, with the new edge's interior, ride and overall comfort it'll be a worse DD. I personally don't mind it all. In fact I kind of enjoy the rough the feeling of it. With less refinement you feel a lot faster then you are going. If you don't have a long commute it might not be a bad idea though.

The DOHC and Coyote are two completely different engines. Obviously the coyote is a lot more powerful. But the Mach being older is a lot more responsive. It also has a really torquey mid range. I love it.

The Mach is a lot of fun to drive and really cool to have. But you should also keep in mind it is an older car and it will be a lot more likely to have issues. Would this be your only car? I know you've been toying around with the idea of a few other cars.

it's finding a mach 1 and giving up my coyote to my parents in exchange for them to get like a new F150 or something or I build the GTS and DD it

That would be nice for them. The only problem would be finding a Mach 1. You might have to search a little far to find one. There's a lot of them are abused and poorly taken care of but occasionally you'll find a somewhat low mileage one for a great deal.

By GTS do you mean your Gran Torino? That would be an interesting DD.

Let me know if you have any questions or need help finding one. I'll be more then happy to help.

A Termi would be awesome. I feel they're a little overpriced but people are buying them so I guess that's all that matters to the sellers.

And I forgot about the sport part, makes more sense now.
